Senator Jack Reed is running in the 2008 race like every race he has been in- he's working as hard as he can. Reed's campaign had $2.3 million on hand as of June 30, 2007. While Rhode Island had nearly thirty years with a Republican senator, both Senate seats are now in Democratic hands.
