U.S. Senate candidates Conrad Burns and Jon Tester will square off in a debate tonight at the Helena Regional Airport.

This is the fifth debate between Burns, a Billings Republican seeking his fourth Senate term, and Tester, a Big Sandy Democrat and president of the Montana Senate. Libertarian Stan Jones also is in the race but won't be part of the debate.

The debate begins at 7 p.m. in the second-floor meeting room at the airport. It is free and open to the public and sponsored by Helena Independent Record and Hometown Helena, a business group.

The Helena debate will be televised live by KTVH-TV in Helena and carried on C-SPAN nationally. It also will be aired by KCAP Radio in Helena and by Yellowstone Public Radio in much of the state.
