The Washington Post's Chris Cilizza declared Colorado the most likely Democratic pickup of the 2008 election cycle. Ultra-conservative Bob Schaffer is running despite desperate attempts by the GOP to find a better alternative. Democratic Congressman Mark Udall continues to build momentum, out-raising Schaffer by $400K in the last quarter. In the last two years, Democrats have recaptured one U.S. Senate seat, the governorship, and both chambers of the General Assembly. They are well-positioned to capture this seat as well.
