DFL Senate candidate Amy Klobuchar continues to hold a substantial lead over her GOP rival Mark Kennedy, according to the latest Minnesota Poll, and there are signs that national Republican leaders are now turning their focus to other Senate campaigns.

The poll shows Klobuchar with 55 percent to Kennedy's 34 percent, a margin that is nearly the same as it was in September.

Kennedy's campaign challenged the poll results, as it has with every Minnesota Poll on the Senate race.

"No one believes these numbers," said Heidi Frederickson, a Kennedy campaign spokeswoman. "This is a single-digit race. We know it, the Democrats know it and Minnesotans know it."

Klobuchar campaign manager Ben Goldfarb said the race will "ultimately be very close, but it's clear that Minnesotans are tired of Congressman Kennedy's outrageous negative attacks and continue to respond to Amy Klobuchar's positive vision for change."
