The parade of big names in Minnesota's election campaigns continued Tuesday with Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton appearing at Minneapolis' posh 601 Graves Hotel for DFL U.S. Senate nominee Amy Klobuchar.
Tickets to see Clinton, a top prospect for the 2008 presidential election, ranged from $150 for a reception to $5,000-a-plate for dinner.
Campaign spokesman Bob Hume said close to 250 donors were expected, but he did not know the amount they expected to raise.
At 2:30 p.m. Thursday, National Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean will attend a Minnesota DFL College Forum at the University of Minnesota.
According to the Associated Press, First Lady Laura Bush will return to Minnesota next Wednesday for Sixth Congressional District candidate Michele Bachmann.
