Democratic Senate candidate Jim Webb raised $1.35 million from individual donors during the first 18 days of October.
That's more than double the amount raised by his opponent, Republican Senator George Allen.
Campaign finance reports show Allen took in just more than $660,000 during the same period.
Counting contributions from political action committees and transfers, Webb raised a total of $1.5 million during the first two and half weeks of the month.
Allen took in a total of $838,000.
Federal Election Commission records show Allen spent $4 million during that time, while Webb spent $2.4 million.
