The mystery behind an irreverent Web site about Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens has apparently been solved.

The site is made to appear to be registered to Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., who has clashed with Stevens in the Senate.

However, the Web site actually is registered to a former Stevens staff member who left his Senate job this summer.

Enter the offending Web site: tedstevens.net.

The site is all Stevens, all the time. It has chronicled - - with sarcasm - the travails of the Republican senator, his staff and his son Ben Stevens, Alaska's state Senate president, as they deal with federal investigators, lobbyists, Democrats and other assorted rivals.
