rss feedA new poll finds Democrat Amy Klobuchar continues to hold a lead in the U-S Senate race over Republican Mark Kennedy but Kennedy has gained ground in the last month.
The St. Paul Pioneer Press/Minnesota Public Radio poll finds Kennedy has picked up steam particularly among independent voters and voters outside the Twin Cities.
The poll finds Klobuchar has support from 50 percent of likely voters while Kennedy is backed by 40 percent.
A month ago, Klobuchar held a 15-point lead in the poll.
The latest poll was conducted last Thursday through Monday. The telephone survey of 625 registered voters has a margin of error of plus or minus four percentage points.
