Polls show that more Alabamians are identifying with the Democratic Party now than in recent years, but the momentum has not yet translated to federal election contests as most in the state's Republican-dominated congressional delegation remain unchallenged.While Alabama Democrats and Republicans will help choose their party's presidential nominee in February, the primary for other federal offices is still 10 months away. Democrats have until April to officially jump in, but for now, just two of the six Republicans on the ballot next year have drawn Democratic challengers.
