Allen Speaks At Labor Council Breakfast

The Southern and Western Maine Labor Councils joined with the Metal Trades Council to host the annual gathering. The keynote speaker was Congressman Tom Allen, who said Labor Day is a time to honor the men and women who work hard and play by the rules, but who are seeing their families' gains slipping away.

"They're finding the cost of housing, health care and education, not to mention the cost of gas, literally beyond their reach in many cases.
